Alexander-Arnold insists Liverpool not giving up title fight despite Man City gap

Liverpool right back Trent Alexander-Arnold insists they are not going to give up on the title.

The Reds are training Manchester City by 11 points at present, after a poor holiday period of fixtures.

Liverpool picked up two points from a possible nine over the festive period in the Premier League.

"We are just past the halfway point so a lot can happen between now and May," Alexander-Arnold said.

"So we have to make sure we focus on ourselves, make sure we stay as close to Manchester City as we can.

"(We know) it will be difficult and we need teams to beat them for us. But it's about us making sure we are in a position to capitalise if they do drop points.

"There's not really much (more) we can do except try to win as many games as we can between now and the end of the season."
