Alberto Mari was happy to prove Valencia's matchwinner against FC Spartak Trnava.

Los Che enjoyed victory for their second preseason friendly.

Mari said: "The team are working hard and we are not at our best level yet. However, this camp will be useful to continue working and continue to get a good feeling to reach our best level at the start of LaLiga.

"For a striker, scoring a goal always gives you the confidence to continue working, but the important thing is that the team gets used to winning and we get to the start of LaLiga as well as possible.

"We are a little fatigued, but it's normal. Thats what preseason is for. In the end, this is what gives you the foundation for the whole year. We are working very hard, but everything comes with time."
