Al Ettifaq coach Steven Gerrard is targeting former Manchester United goalkeeper David de Gea.

De Gea remains without a club since being released by United over the summer.

He has held talks with Real Betis, but is still available.

The Sun says Gerrard wants to bring De Gea to the Saudi Pro League.

De Gea earned up to £375,000 per week at Old Trafford and left because a new deal could not be agreed, with Andre Onana coming in to replace him as Erik Ten Hag's No 1 goalkeeper.
