Liverpool legend Steven Gerrard has dismissed the idea of a club legend moving to Saudi Arabia.

Gerrard had stated that he does not want to see Mohamed Salah in the Saudi Pro League at present.

Gerrard, who is manager of Al Ettifaq and recently signed Jordan Henderson from the Reds, was responding to rumors of Salah leaving the Anfield club.

He laughed when asked if he would want to sign Salh for his team, telling reporters: "No. The answer is no because Mohamed Salah is my favourite player.

“I love Liverpool Football Club, so Mohamed can stay where he is.

“When he wins more leagues and more Champions Leagues with Liverpool, we'll maybe consider it."
