Ajax encouraged as AC Milan plans for Chelsea outcast Ziyech stall

AC Milan are pushing Hakim Ziyech to drop his salary demands ahead of the January market.

The Morocco World Cup star is available from Chelsea, which have reached the outline of an agreement with the Rossonero.

Milan are ready to take Ziyech on-loan for six months ahead of buying him outright in June for €15m.

But Il Corriere dello Sport says Ziyech's €8m-a-year wage demands are proving too rich for Milan. At Chelsea, the midfielder earns €6m-a-year.

And watching developments are Ajax, which are willing to explore the prospect of re-signing the midfielder at the end of the season.
