Ajax chief Marc Overmars says the door is open to Barcelona striker Luis Suarez to return.

Suarez has this season admitted he will have to consider his future at Barca as age creeps up on him.

And Overmars says Ajax would welcome the Uruguay international back to Amsterdam.

"Suarez can come back to Ajax, the Ajax doors are open, I hope they will replace Suárez (laughs)," declared Overmars.

"I do not say it jokingly, if he's really interested in going back to Ajax, I'm going to Barcelona the next day to talk to Luis."
