The Italian Players' Association says this weekend's planned Serie A strike can be avoided.
The AIC plans to take industrial action next weekend in protest at the collective bargaining agreement, which is up for renewal.
"I hope that a deal arrives tomorrow," said Leonardo Grosso, the AIC's lawyer.
"I don't believe that the entire League shares certain positions. I hope there is the desire to find a deal.
"We have renounced public opinion. Every time players put forward union requests it's inevitable that there is a little bit of demagoguery and a lot of disinformation.
"The collective bargaining agreement doesn't have any financial content except the minimum wages which are needed to contract the youngsters when they leave the Primavera."
