Agent: Weah joins Juventus to replace Cuadrado

The agent who placed Timothy Weah at Juventus says he can handle Serie A football.

The USA winger arrived in the summer from Lille.

Sebastiano Salaroli told TMW: "Despite his young age, Weah has international experience. Juve wanted to replace (Juan) Cuadrado, both in the case of a 3-5-2 and in a 4-3-3 and the two players resemble each other in some respects. Juve has always been one of his priorities, the negotiators were serious on both sides. Lille tried to maximize the sale but then everything came naturally.

"The negotiation was born, developed and ended with Giovanni Manna as sporting director. Cristiano Giuntoli arrived later, I've never worked with him, even though I must say that I had already followed him since his days at Napoli. However, things are separate.

"The French league is physical and athletic, his characteristics can adapt well to Serie A. However, the way of interpreting tactics is very different in Italy and it will take a period of adaptation to interpret the role. Physically, however, he is ready and can give the his contribution from the start."
