The agent of Bayer Leverkusen defender Piero Hincapie admits Liverpool were interested in the summer.

Manuel Sierra says Liverpool were keen before deciding to focus on another area of Jurgen Klopp's team.

“Liverpool were interested in him, but at that time they chose to invest in the midfield," he told Joaquín Saavedra from Fútbol Sin Casette

"For January they are talking like other clubs, it will not be less than 50 million (euros)."

Sierra also handles Hincapie's Ecuador teammate Moises Caicedo, of Chelsea.
