Agent reveals Chelsea, Everton target Corona 'rejected Barcelona'

Porto midfielder Jesus Corona has rejected Barcelona in the past, revealed his agent.

The Mexico international is being linked with a big money move away this summer, with the likes of Chelsea and Everton linked.

Agent Matias Bunge admits Corona could've joined Barca when playing in Mexico with Monterrey.

"He then turned down an offer from Barcelona," Bunge told ABC de Sevilla. "I told him that I had spoken with Andoni Zubizarreta, then the technical director of Barcelona, in Monterrey.

"Jesús would first play for a year at Barcelona B under coach Eusebio Sacristán and then be prepared for the first team. Eusebio knew Jesús well and had everything already mapped out.

"Jesus said 'no', because he preferred to play in a first team. So we went to FC Twente, from the Netherlands."
