The agent of Udinese midfielder Gerard Deulofeu has confirmed contact with Aston Villa.

Villa are eyeing the former Everton winger for this month's market.

Agent Albert Botines told Il Messaggero: "There was an interest from Aston Villa, but nothing concrete."

Udinese patron Giampaolo Pozzo is willing to sell at a starting price of €25m.

Deulofeu has declared a willingness to play in the Premier League again.
