The agent of Chelsea midfielder Jorginho has backtracked on suggestions of a return to Serie A.

But Jorginho is solely focused on Chelsea now insists, Joao Santos.

“He arrived in Italy at fifteen, plays in England but his heart is Italian," he told TuttoMercato.

“At Chelsea he's doing very well, he's an important player for the team, a second captain.

"When a team gives this great confidence to a player, it's because they plan the future together with him.

"Not immediately, but he will return to Italy in the future.

"If there was the possibility, he would take it into consideration, but not immediately."

Santos suggested the 27-year-old would like to play under Juventus coach Maurizio Sarri again, but is currently happy playing for Frank Lampard.

“When you go to Juventus with all the champions that are there, it's not easy to impose a different game. You have to work," he continued.

“But Juve win. And this is the important thing. Today, Jorginho's coach is Lampard. He thinks of Chelsea, of course.

“They are in a rebuild, and Jorginho is a pillar of this.

“The coach is in his first year, he's learning the league as a coach. The team can reach the top four."
