The agent of Genoa midfielder Thiago Motta isn't surprised by interest from Inter Milan.
"I don't know whether it is true that Inter are after the player," Dario Canovi told La Gazzetta dello Sport. "However, it's just natural that a team looking for a midfielder would see Motta as an objective.
"Whether it be Inter, Milan, Juventus, Roma or Manchester United, the interest doesn't surprise me.
"In my opinion if Thiago isn't the best then he is amongst the top three midfielders in Europe at the moment."
There have been suggestions that Motta may opt to play for the Azzurri in future.
"He is a real Italian," Canovi explained. "He has had a passport since he was 16 and would be happy to play for La Nazionale."
