The agent of Sheffield Wednesday striker Marcus Tudgay admits Burnley are keen.
Daryl Powell said: "I spoke to Burnley a good month ago now about a few players and they did say that they liked Marcus. He is a player they admire.
"As for whether a bid has gone in for £1.5m, I would have to clarify that myself with Burnley on Monday.
"Marcus is due to sign a new contract with Sheffield Wednesday next week but I would have thought that if Burnley were interested then he would be interested because obviously they're in the Premier League, which is where every player wants to be.
"He's a decent player and he can do a good job as both an out-and-out centre forward and on the right side. He played quite a bit on the right for Sheffield Wednesday last season."
