After Newcastle frustration, Saudis go for Inter Milan

Inter Milan are attracting interest from Saudi Arabia's Public Investment Fund (PIF).

After being blocked from buying Newcastle United by the Premier League, PIF is now eyeing off Inter, where owners Suning are desperate to find a buyer.

Corriere dello Sport says the Saudis are now ahead of BC Partners in pushing to buyout Suning.

Managing the operations is Yassir al Rumayyan, who currently manages a portfolio of around 200 different assets (including shares in Boeing, Facebook and Disney). Its areas of action include aviation, oil, gas and entertainment.

And it is in the entertainment stream that the interest for Inter would fall. Indeed, PIF have already attempted to get involved in European football with Newcastle.
