AFC Wimbledon sign QPR striker Sutherland

AFC Wimbledon have snapped up QPR striker Frankie Sutherland.

The 20-year-old, who is yet to make a senior appearance for QPR, will be with the League Two side until 29 November.

Sutherland had a spell on loan at Leyton Orient last season but his time in east London was cut short by a serious injury on his debut.

He is eligible to play in both the FA Cup and Johnstone's Paint Trophy competitions for the Dons.

"Frankie is a player we have monitored for the last six months, since he came back from his injury," Wimbledon boss Neal Ardley told the club website.

"He is a strong, combative midfielder, an intelligent passer of the ball and we have seen his fitness and influence on games grow throughout the season."
