Italian newspaper La Gazetta dello Sport has reported that Juventus midfielder Paul Pogba has signed a new long-term sponsorship and supply deal with German sportswear company Adidas.
La Gazetta claims the 22-year-old Frenchman has agreed a ten-year contract, which is set to earn him €40 million (US$44.2 million) over the duration of the deal, reports, www.sportspromedia.com/.
Until the proposed Adidas deal, Pogba was a rare example of a modern, top-level soccer player without a promotional boot deal. The player's agent Mino Raiola is believed to have used Pogba's long-term independence to spark a bidding war between Nike and Adidas.
