Adelaide United have released young striker Robert Younis so he can return to New South Wales.
The promising goal scorer requested a move back to Sydney and is currently on loan with his former club APIA Leichhardt Tigers but wants to be permanently released once his loan spell ends in May.
Reds football director Michael Valkanis said the club is prepared to grant the 23-year old what he wants and wished Younis well.
"Robert asked to be released in order to be closer to his family and friends, and also with a desire to get more time on the field," Valkanis said.
"We came to a mutual agreement which allows him to do this and we wish him all the best with his football career and whatever he chooses to do in the future."
