Sunderland will have to stave off competition from AC Milan to sign Manchester United winger Adnan Januzaj, according to reports from Gazzetta dello Sport.

Januzaj is widely expected to be leaving United this summer and Sunderland boss David Moyes is keen on reuniting with the young Belgian at the Stadium of Light.

It seemed like the Wearside outfit were favourites to secure the services of Januzaj but now according to reports emerging out of Italy, the Black Cats will be facing competition from Italian giants AC in the race to sign the 21-year-old.

Rossoneri boss Vincenzo Montella is keen to bring in an attacking wide man after losing Jeremy Menez to Bordeaux this summer and Januzaj's availability has emerged on his radar.
