AC Milan are threatening Arsenal plans for Bayern Munich defender Jerome Boateng.
Sky Sport says the Gunners have already been in contact with Bayern Munich over the 31-year-old as they bid to bolster their defensive options in January.
Boateng is reportedly keen to leave this month in order to improve his chances of regular first-team football, though Bayern have stated previously they expect him to stay put.
Bayern would be willing to accept an offer in the region of £12.8m (15m euros), which has opened the door for Milan to muscle in on Arsenal's interest.
The Serie A giants are hopeful of landing another centre-back, in addition to Sevilla's Simon Kjaer who is close to a move to the San Siro.
