AC Milan president Scaroni defends allowing Calhanoglu, Donnarumma to depart

AC Milan president Paolo Scaroni insists there's no regrets over the departures of Gigio Donnarumma and Hakan Calhanoglu.

Donnarumma is joining PSG, while Calhanoglu will sign for Inter Milan as their contracts expire this month.

"We had made offers that seems to be the maximum of what we are ready to pay," Scaroni told Radio Gr Parlamento. “If Calhanoglu finds other solutions, that's good for him.

“He had an excellent championship and always behaved fairly. Everyone is free to make the choices he believes is right, no regrets on the part of Milan.

“We limit the cost of our players. We presented an offer, it was not enough.

“I then read that Gigio wanted to leave his comfort zone, and it seems positive for a professional like him.

“He has always behaved perfectly. It seems to me that Milan have found an excellent solution for their goalkeeper and Donnarumma will continue his professional career at another club.

“So, everything is fine."
