AC Milan legend Billy Costacurta is a fan of the young defensive talent coming through.

Costacurta is also happy seeing Milan goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma make his Italy debut last week.

“Donnarumma is one of the greatest Italian talents. He is simply extraordinary," Costacurta told Milan TV.

“As Gigi Buffon said too, the future belongs to him. Milan have found a precious treasure in their midst."

Donnarumma made his senior Italy debut this week at the age of 17, the youngest ever goalkeeper and greenest Azzurri figure since 1911.

“Romagnoli and Rugani are the best young defenders in all of Europe. However, Romagnoli must continue to improve himself and over the last year he hasn't really done that.

“He needs to knuckle down and find someone who is able to improve him, because he has everything it takes to become among the best defenders in the world."
