AC Milan are interested in Chelsea goalkeeper Edouard Mendy.
Sky Italia's Gianluca d Marzio is reporting Milan see Mendy as competition for Mike Maignan, who has struggled with injury this season.
However, Marco Sportiello is now emerging as a more like addition.
He told Corriere della Sera: "Maignan's physical mishaps could change the winter plans of Milan, who has already moved to book Sportiello of Atalanta as the new French deputy for the next season.
"Not only that: the road that would lead to Mendy Chelsea (no longer a starter at his club) is both steep and expensive."
