AC Milan defender Paletta blasts Parma directors

AC Milan defender Gabriel Paletta has slammed his former directors at Parma.

Paletta left Parma in January for the Rossoneri.

"When I was there it was still Tommaso Ghirardi as President and then Rezart Taci, so Giampietro Manenti wasn't there yet, but the situation was more or less the same," Paletta told Sky Sport Italia.

"Players arrived that had been promised money, but it was obvious that it would end this way."

Parma were declared bankrupt and put under administration, as the players have not been paid since July 2014.

"They'd tell us that the wages would arrive on Monday, then we'd go to the bank, find nothing there and be told we'd have to come back on Wednesday. It happened every single week.

"It's a shame that such a wonderful club in such a beautiful city with such super fans reached this stage. Even if we were bottom of the table, we never held back on the field."
