Former Leicester City defender Robert Huth is a surprise target for AC Milan.

Currently a free agent, Huth is interesting Milan chief Leonardo as he seeks short-term cover for the club's raft of defensive injuries.

Veteran centre-half Huth is on Leonardo's shortlist and can sign immediately for the Rossonero.

Also being considered are former St Etienne stopper Florentin Pogba and Serdar Tasci, who has come off contract at Spartak Moscow.

All three players are currently free agents.
