AC Milan, Bayern Munich join interest in Man City midfielder Phillips

Newcastle United face a battle to sign Kalvin Phillips from Manchester City in the winter.

The Magpies had been hoping for a clear run at the England international midfielder.

However, The Sun states that several teams are now assessing Phillips, especially after he impressed on international duty this month.

AC Milan are serious about securing the 27-year-old and would guarantee him a starting spot.

Bayern Munich are also keen, with their head coach Thomas Tuchel very eager to recruit more Premier League players into his squad.

Phillips may yet decide to remain at City until the summer, but he is very much a bit part player for boss Pep Guardiola.
