New Athletic Bilbao coach Joaquin Caparros has added a 14 year-old to his preseason training squad.

Iker Muniain, an attacking midfielder, is regarded as the jewel of Bilbao's youth system and is training with the club's first team squad.

Until he turns 15 in December, Muniain is barred from competing in Spain's top youth competition, never mind appearing for Bilbao's first team. The youngster has already been capped at U17 level.
