I wanted to call up (FIFA president) Sepp Blatter and ask him to let me pick more.<p>"But this group of players knows how I want them to play tactically and understands the team ethic.<p>"We need to make sure our conditioning is perfect. I don't wish to make concrete predictions, and if we lose we'll take it on the chin. But if we play to our potential we have a chance. We're positive. He will leave us with long lasting memories of his time with our club," said Wanderers chief executive Lyall Gorman.<p>"He is committed to the Wanderers until the end of his contract in May this year which will see him help lead our club in its 2014 Asian Champions League debut and hopefully a second Hyundai A-League Finals Series.<p>"Shinji Ono will forever be remembered in our Club folklore and on behalf of the entire Wanderers family we look forward to making the final months of his time in Australia with the Wanderers a memorable one.<p>"He will always be a part of the Wanderers family and story as history records it over time. The reason it took so long is because he has such a high standing in Wolfsburg after six years there."<p>Nurnberg manager Michael Wiesinger added: "Makoto is a player who brings leadership qualities with him and who has convinced us in terms of his character. "They have great players and there are more and more in Europe these days.<p>"Japan can be a force to be reckoned with. They have a great national team and it will be interesting to go over there and face their teams. When we play against them with England we know we are in for a tough game.<p>"The players are more technically gifted than physically gifted.
