Wolves have joined the race for Mainz's defensive utility Jean-Philippe Gbamin.
Gbamin's agent Bernard Collignon has revealed the interest of a raft of clubs, including Liverpool and Everton.
However, BILD says Wolves and AS Monaco are the two clubs most serious about doing business with Mainz. Both clubs are prepared to discuss terms of around €30-40m.
Just last week, Collignon told Foot Mercato: "I had meetings with Liverpool, Tottenham, Arsenal, Everton and many other clubs. He is a shortlisted candidate."
Mainz sporting director Rouven Schroder has also stated: "There is clearly movement and momentum in it. In part, the numbers are already exchanged. But it's not written down in writing that we could do it."
