Former Rangers defender Danny Wilson says Chelsea whizkid Billy Gilmour needs an instant Scotland call.
Wilson — who earned the first of his five caps at Gilmour's age — believes at the very least the ex-Gers starlet, below, should be involved for the experience.
Now in his third season at Colorado Rapids in the MLS, Wilson told the Scottish Sun: “I watched Billy against Liverpool and Everton and he was fantastic.
"It was no surprise for me, because I knew how talented he was.
“In my second spell at Rangers I started to hear about him. The first team always pick up talk of exciting prospects in the academy. Billy was at the top of the list.
“Coming back from injury, I played against Hibs with Billy. We won and I knew instantly — from how he took the ball and positioned himself for the next pass — that he had a big chance.
“He was a lot younger than the rest but he was still the stand-out.
“Billy's never going to be a big guy. His game's had to evolve, but his game intelligence is fantastic and, by the way, he's NOT shy of a tackle!
“I don't see why he shouldn't be in the Scotland squad. I'd have him involved."
