West Bromwich Albion and Leicester City are set to do battle in the January transfer window.
Both clubs have targeted the Lokomotiv Moscow and Georgian defender Solomon Kvirkvelia. The Moscow defender is garnering a lot of interest from European clubs, and these two are hoping to get a leg up on the others.
Lokomotiv are eight points clear at the top of the Russian Premier League, with Kvirkvelia a big reason for the club's great defensive record.
With the club in such a great position, Lokomotiv's board may be tempted to cash in while the interest in Kvirkvelia is at its peak. The defender is 6ft 4 inches, and he would fit in with the physical style of the Premier League.
No fee has been agreed by any club, but it would take something in excess of 20million pounds to get Lokomotiv interested.
