Watford news: Udinese ace Jankto wanted; Pantilimon urged to accept contract release

Watford want to release Costel Pantilimon from his contract.

The Romanian goalkeeper is currently on-loan this season with Deportivo La Coruna.

The Hornets are keen to clear Pantilimon off their books after deciding to move on from the experienced shot-stopper.

Pantilimon is yet to respond, though a release would help him in negotiations with Depor about a permanent deal.

The 30 year-old joined Watford last year after two years with Sunderland.

Meanwhile, Udinese midfielder Jakub Jankto is a January target for the Hornets.

Sportmediaset says Udinese could place Jankto at Watford as part of the Pozzo family's network.

The youngster has attracted interest from Arsenal in the past.
