Former Australia international Mark Viduka is now being linked with a move to Perth Glory.
The ex-Celtic, Leeds, Middlesbrough and Newcastle United striker has been the talk of the A-League in recent months as speculation about him returning to the game in Australia runs rampant and the latest club to be 'in talks' with the veteran is the Glory.
"We think an offer from Perth would be great for him," Glory owner Tony Sage told radio 6PR.
"And (Glory captain) Jacob Burns is a very good friend of his. Informal talks have gone on, and if he wants to play, we will make an offer to him.
"Jake is saying he is thinking about it (playing again). He does not want to make any rash decisions, because he knows if he does it is a big ask."
It is believed that the Glory were set for talks with former Liverpool star Robbie Fowler who looks set to quit the troubled North Queensland Fury but reports suggest he has accepted an offer to become Sydney FC's new marquee man following the departure of John Aloisi to Melbourne Heart.
