Tottenham manager welcomes Australian tests against Atletico Madrid and Juventus

Tottenham Hotspur manager Mauricio Pochettino believes the addition of Atletico Madrid to the 2016 International Champions Cup roster will only enhance the competition.

Spurs will take on Italian champions Juventus at the Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG) on July 26 before meeting the Spaniards at the same venue three days later in what Pochettino sees as vital pre-season fixtures for his ever-improving outfit.

"The announcement of Atlético Madrid as the fourth team in the International Champions Cup Australia, presented by Audiis a great addition to this competition," Mauricio said.

"Playing two of Europe's best teams in Melbourne will be a strong test for us and we hope to put on a great show for our fans in both matches as a way of thanking them for their incredible support throughout this and every season."

Also involved in the Australian leg of the tournament is A-League giants Melbourne Victory who will play against Juventus in the opening game on July 23.
