Chelsea captain John Terry invited Scunthorpe United's beaten players into the home dressing room after Sunday's FA Cup tie.
Terry was an unused substitute as the Premier League champions beat their League One opponents 2-0 to reach the fourth round.
Chelsea boss Guus Hiddink said: "They had a good celebration in our locker room, together with our players.
"These are difficult games. It was their final. They made us shiver a bit. They wanted to exchange the shirts. It was a big day for them and for us, because we wanted to go into the next round."
