St Etienne is facing a battle to secure Leicester City midfielder Nampalys Mendy to a Bosman deal

Off contract at the end of the month, Mendy is fielding interest from across Europe.

Le 10 Sport says ASSE coach Claude Puel would welcome a reunion with his former Foxes midfielder, but Mendy's terms are proving too rich.

Udinese, Torino and Trabzonspor are also in contact about a Bosman move away from England this summer.

However, Leicester boss Brendan Rodgers stated just yesterday that they intend to offer a new deal to Mendy.
