Former Bordeaux coach Gus Poyet is backing Malcom for success with Barcelona.

Malcom has struggled to make an impact with Barca since his summer arrival.

“I have no doubt that Malcom has the level to play for Barcelona," said Poyet.

But Malcom has to “take on board concepts to show that he can, when they give him the chance", added Poyet.

“The 4-3-3 suits him very well as a winger. He has quality and is very young."
