New Italy coach Mancini names Balotelli, Chelsea's Emerson in first squad

Italy coach Roberto Mancini has named Nice striker Mario Balotelli in his first squad.

Mancini was appointed last week, the first permanent coach since Giampiero Ventura was fired in November for failing to qualify for the 2018 World Cup.

He'll make his Nazionale debut in San Gallen, Switzerland, on May 28 against Saudi Arabia.

Italy then face France in Nice on June 1 and host the Netherlands in Turin's Juventus Stadium on June 4.

Mancini named an initial 30-man squad that will meet at Coverciano on the evening of Wednesday May 23.
