New York City FC coach Patrick Vieira has been confirmed as next Nice manager.

Manchester City have confirmed Arsenal legend Vieira will take over as Nice boss this summer.

Vieira had been in charge of City's MLS club New York City FC but has left to take over the Ligue 1 club.

He said, "Having the opportunity to be a Head Coach in New York is something many dream of.

"Our incredibly passionate fans have made this one of the most special experiences I've had in football.

"Thank you to each and every one of you that stands by the team day in and day out."
