Lokomotiv Moscow attacker Sergei Pinyaev continues to be watched by Manchester United.
Pinyaev spent several spells as a teen at United in extended trials before joining Loko.
The attacker remains on United's scouting radar, though former star Andrei Kanchelskis can't see Pinyaev being good enough for such a move.
He told Sport24: “If Pinyaev was not taken to Manchester United then, why should they be taken now? He doesn't have any great chance of getting there.
"For example, the interest in (Zenit defender Nuraly) Alip is explained by the fact that Manchester needs a defender - they have a problem with this position.
"Why is Pinyaev there? I would like a Russian footballer to continue my story at Manchester United, but this is unlikely. There will be no one there for the next 25 years."
