Vincenzo Italiano is on the brink of taking the Fiorentina job.

TG RAI Toscana reports Fiorentina will pay Spezia €1m to get Italiano out of his contract. A player will also go to Spezia in exchange for Italiano's backroom team.

The coach has agreed a two-year deal with the Viola.

Italiano held a meeting with Fiorentina directors Joe Barone and Daniele Pradè on Sunday afternoon.

His contract includes an option for another 12 months. An announcement could be made Monday.
