Manchester United captain Bruno Fernandes is backing their move for Portugal teammate Joao Neves.
United have been scouting the Benfica midfielder this season.
And Fernandes is confident could handle a move to Old Trafford should the interest be firmed up.
"I would love to have him at United, he has top quality! But it's João's choice," he said.
"He's a great player but it depends on the manager's ideas! He will have a great future, in United or somewhere else."
