Former Southampton defender Christoph Klarer is delighted with his move to Fortuna Dusseldorf.
Klarer joined Saints in 2016 and, having progressed through the under-18 setup, he became a regular in the club's B team.
He also played 13 games on loan at Austrian side St Polten last season.
But moving on to his next chapter, the defender is eager to get started.
Speaking to his new club's website, Klarer said: “I am overjoyed that we managed the transfer and I am really looking forward to the task. I'm excited to see what's in store for me in the next four years.
“For me this is the next step. The league is very demanding and physically intense. I'm well prepared for that.
"It is a dream come true that I can play for a big club like Fortuna.
“I want to develop myself every day. The training conditions and the stadium are great. There is no excuse. I'm ready!"
