Ex-Liverpool keeper James set for Bournemouth debut today

Former Liverpool and Aston Villa goalkeeper David James is set to make his Bournemouth debut.

James turns out for Bournemouth against Walsall today - 22 years after his league debut.

Former England keeper James, 42, yesterday signed for the League One side until the end of the season.

He had been without a club since being released by Bristol City in May.

Cherries boss Paul Groves said: "David brings professionalism, experience, competition and is a fantastic person to have around.

"I worked with him at Portsmouth and knew what he could bring to the party."
