Nottingham Forest have announced that full-back Aaron Donnelly has joined Port Vale for the remainder of the campaign.
The Premier League club have let Donnelly leave in search of regular first-team game time.
He played his first game for the senior team this season against Grimsby Town in the Carabao Cup.
“Aaron ticks a lot of our boxes in terms of his attitude, character and ability and comes with a good reference having worked with Cros [Andy Crosby] at Northern Ireland previously," Vale manager Darrell Clarke told the club's official website.
“Having lost Connor Hall earlier this month, Aaron comes in and gives us good competition on the left side of defence."
