Cruzeiro chief Alexandre Mattos has rapped Real Madrid over their attempts to sign young midfielder Lucas Silva.
Mattos confirmed that Real Madrid had submitted two offers for the 21-year-old, neither of which met Cruzeiro's 15m asking price.
"I called the president [Gilvan Tavares] when they again bid less than 15m and he told me that the club won't accept any less than that. Real Madrid are not going to sign Lucas Silva until they show Cruzeiro some respect.
"I thanked them for their interest, but they see themselves as the best in the world, whereas for me that's Cruzeiro," Mattos said.
