Italian legend Gianfranco Zola says Carlo Ancelotti should remain in charge of Real Madrid.

Ancelotti could be asked to step down by Real president Carlo Ancelotti after their Champions League semifinal thrashing at Manchester City.

But Zola says: "You have to admit that when you are up against a team like today's Manchester City, you may lose and lose badly.

"You have to congratulate Manchester City. Inter should be able to take away their rhythm so as not to be beaten, they must prevent City from having this predominance.

"Ancelotti? I don't see why he should be questioned after a Champions League semi-final the following year in which he won."
