Real Madrid coach Zinedine Zidane is key to winning the race for the signing of Rennes midfielder Eduardo Camavinga.
The 17 year-old prospect is regarded highly by Zidane, who wants to bring him to Madrid this summer.
And helping negotiations along, reports AS, is the Real coach's good relationship with François-Henri Pinault, the son of Rennes' owner, Francois Pinault.
Camavinga's deal runs 2022 and Rennes currently insist he won't leave for less than €60m.
However, Zidane could convince Rennes to drop their price to get a deal done.
