Zenit St Petersburg ace Sardar Azmoun has revealed he rejected an offer from Tottenham over the summer.

Azmoun admits he became fed-up with the speculation that he was pushing to leave Zenit.

He said, “I never said that I would go somewhere. They wrote that I had already passed a medical examination and arrived at some club. When Lyon made an offer, Zenit turned it down on the first day. I have a contract. Even if I wanted to, the club would not allow me to leave. Ronaldo and Messi also have contracts. The media sends me to other clubs.

"I didn't say anything myself, I'm tired of these rumours myself. Don't write anything about me! Every day I wake up, and they already send me to some kind of team. If something happens, I will report it myself.

"I had offers from Lyon, Roma, Bayer Leverkusen and Tottenham, all of which were rejected. I'm not going anywhere this year. If I want to go somewhere, then I will leave as a free agent."
