Zenit ace Dzyuba: Russia have a real chance against England

Russia are capable of progressing from their group at Euro2016 according to Artem Dzyuba.

Despite England being the red hot fancies to top Group B, Zenit Saint Petersburg striker Dzyuba believes the Russians have the ability to gain positive results in France as they prepare to also come up against Wales and Slovakia.

"England are a very good team - but we talked about how from all the top seeds that is who we wanted to draw," said Dzyuba.

"It's no reflection on England - it's just that the other five nations we could have drawn as top seeds are among the nations who are the favourites to win the tournament.

"It's not an easy group, there is no such thing, but we are also aware that it could have been worse for us. England with their big names are the favourites on paper - but it's a very competitive group - all four nations will believe they have a real chance.

"I am pleased the first game is against England - they might be the favorites of the group - but if we can start with a win against England it puts us in a very strong position.

"That is the aim to beat England - we will not be playing for a draw. It will not be easy - but we know a win would give us a lot of confidence."

Russia and England will clash in Marseille in their Euro2016 opener on Saturday.
